Hydrogen and energy have a long shared history – powering the first internal combustion engines over 200 years ago to becoming an integral part of the modern refining industry. It is light, storable, energy-dense, and produces no direct emissions of pollutants or greenhouse gases.
The H2ope Hydrogen Solution uses electrolytic hydrogen, that is hydrogen produced from a single water supply using electrolysis. The water is charged with electricity and pushed through a membrane which not only produces hydrogen but also completely clean filtered water. The electricity can be provided using renewable technologies such as solar or wind, or usage from the mains supply using economy 7 or evening/weekend supplies.
The system is modular, and simply includes a number if units working in parallel to produce hydrogen which is stored in a tanks or a number of tanks. The number of units is determined by the volume of hydrogen required and ina typical installation a small 20ft container sized unit would house 400 units producing 30cft of hydrogen per hour able to power a medium sized hospital or food manufacturing facility.
The water can be dirty, from waste pipes or an industrial boiler, which is filtered during the process
The H2ope solution allows for more flexible installations for a variety of volume and output requirements. In addition, this innovative system can be easily adapted to work with existing heating systems, providing a uniquely modular solution, which can be scaled up or down as needed and installed on many sites which might appear cost prohibitive. As it is a modular system, implementation is designed to be streamlined and negate any potential downtime.
